Sadolin deckiing stain is a translucent durable and decorative stain for decking. Excellent weather protection. Avoids buld-up of the coating which could promote a more slippery surface. Water repellent. Long lasting colour.

 

Preparation of the substrate

Wash the timber, removing any algae or mould with a solution of diluted bleach, then rinse and ensure it is dry. Remove any weathered, grey timber by machanical abrading.

Hardwood decking: Thoroughly degrease the surface using methylated spirits or cellulose thinners.

Softwood decking: Remove any sign of resin on or around knots with a scraper and/or a cloth dampered with methylated spirits.

 

Application

If decking boards are cut to size on the site, treat end-grains with Sadolin Wood Preserver.Two coats of Decking Stain are recommended. Apply the first coat all around prior to installation. The second coat may be applied after 12-24 hours once the decking is in situ.

Make sure that end grains of the decking are treated to saturation. Stir well before and during application.

 

Maintenance

Clean the decking thoroughly, using a suitable cleaner, paying particular attention to areas of algae and mould growth. Rinse and allow to dry. Then apply one further coat of Decking Stain as necessary. Some species of hardwood decking may require an annual maintenance coat. For CCA treated (tannalised) softwood decking, a maintenance re-coat every 12-18months is recommended.

 

The final colour will depend on the original colour, condition of the timber and the number of coats applied.

确保装饰板的端面纹理处理至饱和。 施工前和施工过程中充分搅拌。

 

维护

使用合适的清洁剂彻底清洁地板，特别注意藻类和霉菌生长的区域。 冲洗并晾干。 然后根据需要再涂一层木材着色剂。 某些种类的硬木地板可能需要每年进行一次保养，而对于 CCA 处理（防腐木）的软木地板，建议每 12-18 个月进行一次维护重涂。

 

最终效果将取决于原始颜色、木材状况和涂层数量。
